About Us

graduatewomenfiji

We are a voluntary, non-profit organisation of women graduates working to promote lifelong education, improve the status of women and girls, and enable women to effect positive change for a peaceful world.

As a full member of Graduate Women International (GWI) — a global network spanning 60 countries – GWF opens doors to fellowships, international conferences, and a worldwide community of women leaders.

Our HERStory

Graduate Women (Fiji) was founded in 1983 as The Fiji Association of Women Graduates (FAWG) by women graduates living in Suva, united by a simple conviction: that educating women and girls transforms families, communities, and the world.

Four decades later, we remain true to that conviction. We have grown into a vibrant network with members in Suva and Lautoka, and we carry Fiji’s voice into the global conversation through our full membership in Graduate Women International (GWI), headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

Our Affiliation

As a full member of Graduate Women International (formerly IFUW), GWF is part of a global movement spanning 60 countries. Membership gives GWF members access to international fellowships, global conferences, research grants, and a worldwide professional network.
